Training Theory
At Crystal Clear Canine, our training theory revolves around one common factor, CRYSTAL CLEAR COMMUNICATION. This is the foundation for successful training. Dogs are creatures of habit and learn through timing, consistency, and motivation. Our goal in training is to be able to clearly communicate what we require from our K9 friends. Our philosophy is to format our training based on the dog, not based on company guidelines. No two dogs are completely alike, and therefore, no two dogs can be trained completely the same way. While it's true that there are certain foundations that can be laid for every dog, an entire training program should be formatted for a dog based on several factors such as drive (a dog's desire to obtain something), hardness (how a dog responds to a correction), and temperament (the dog's overall attitude). For example, a dog that is very energetic, but is living in a house with small children, may need more control work to lower his energy level and make him more manageable around the house. In contrast, a more laid back and lethargic dog may not need this same level of control to gain compliance. In the end, no matter how stubborn or hardheaded your dog may be, we guarantee through our training you will have a CRYSTAL CLEAR CANINE!
